OUR ENVIRONMENTAL PHILOSOPHY

It is easy to say that each of us should mind, conserve and protect the natural resources that we enjoy whether we are just interested in getting outdoors, in search of the season's catch, or seeking some low impact exercise as we pursue a day on the water and in reality, it is also easy to do it. There are dozens of ways to make a difference on any given day. We all simply need to do something and considering that daily we each continue to extract resources from the planet that we will never replace we had better begin doing something now.

At Native Watercraft we are currently doing what we can to make a difference and as we discover fresh opportunities to do more and figure out how to install new, more responsible processes, we will.

Materials Currently We Use

Polyethylene Kayaks
We use Superlinear® resin to produce the hulls of our rotationally molded polyethylene kayaks which enables us to produce boats that are light and abrasion resistant, to take all the unintentional little bumps and dings that just happen while you paddle, emits no toxic fumes during the molding process like some other rotational molding resins, creating a safe working environment, and is recyclable, once has seen its last day!

Tegris®
Tegris™ offers the highest performance we have seen in any hull construction materials available today and is 100% recyclable. Using fabric produced by our partners at Milliken and Company Tegris™ boats are lighter, stronger, stiffer and less expensive than even our own elite Composites!

Boat Bags
All of our boats are shipped in recyclable bags but we encourage our dealers to reuse them until they are completely worn out and ready to be recycled.

First Class™ Seating® System
Native Watercraft seats also utilize responsible materials and processes. Seat cushions are made from HiFlow™ 3-D Mesh (patent pending for watercraft), 100% recyclable: its innovative production process has eliminated the need for ozone-depleting cfc's (chlorofluorocarbons). Plus, the Textilene® solar screen fabric, used in seats and some accessories, is designed to withstand five (5) years of daily sun exposure before it begins to break down.

Improving Responsibility in Our Work Environment

We are recycling materials we use on the factory floor, in the offices, and in our break room. We are recycling plastic, paper and glass from containers located in every room. Join us in making a best effort in protecting what is left on the planet. Every environmental effort counts.
